FAQs
Huh? What? Where am I? Never Pau is an archive site to make stories written by the members of the former Hawaii Five-O Fanfic Ohana available to anyone who wants to read them.
The what? The Hawaii Five-O Fanfic Ohana was a writers’ group on Yahoo. It is currently closed, but its members are still writing.
What kind of a name is “Never Pau”? Does that mean something? “Pau” is Hawaiian for “finished”. (Many Hawaii Five-O fanfic authors end their stories with the word “pau,” for this reason.) So, “Never Pau” means “never finished.” As the site’s tag line says, “the show may be off the air, but it lives on in our hearts and stories.” In this way, it isn’t really pau at all. If you’d like to look up any other Hawaiian words, there is an English/Hawaiian online dictionary at http://hawaiiandictionary.hisurf.com/ and a page of useful words at http://www.alohafriendsluau.com/words.html.
What kinds of stories are here? There are works spanning most genres, including slash, gen, dark, and humor.
What if I don’t like a certain type of story? Should I email you to complain? No. The information provided with each story, combined with the author’s profile, should give you a clue as to whether you will want to read, but if you do find yourself reading something you don’t like, please just hit the “back” button.
What if something is broken on the web site? Should I email you to complain? Yes! If you find broken links, munged text, etc., please do email the webmaster at ladyoscar@neverpau.com.
