“Aloha Kākou”

. . . and welcome to my little niche of Never Pau. My name is Stella and I have been in love with all things Hawaiian for as long as I can remember. A love that I am nearly positive grew out of my captivation for the classic television series Hawaii Five-O. Being a child of the 1970’s in the Midwest, you can imagine my enchantment staring at the television, as I sat in a farmhouse surrounded by corn and cattle. The sand, the ocean, palm trees, the brightly hued fashions; it was like taking a vacation every week.
As far as I can tell, that fascination has never waned. I still stare longingly at pictures of sandy expanses under clear blue skies. I have learned to play the ukulele, and I am teaching myself to speak Hawaiian . . . and now through the glory that is DVD technology, I am watching Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett and James C. McArthur as Danny “Danno” Williams fight to keep Hawaii safe on a daily basis.

I began reading fan fiction a few years ago, but when my then-favorite fandom started to die down and I found myself rereading old stories over and over again., I knew that I was going to have to let it go. That was until I discovered the new incarnation of Hawaii Five-O and the subsequent rediscovery of the classic series. The enjoyment of getting lost in someone else’s written world led me to start thinking about creating my own. So a few short months ago, I attempted to write fan fiction for the first time and haven’t looked back since.
I tend to write in the genres of hurt/comfort, angst, drama, and slash, though there may even be a smattering of humor to be found. You can find me on several online writing communities as Stella_Lost, where I write in both the Classic and Reboot fandoms, but here at Never Pau, I’m just Stella, lover of all things that is classically Hawaii.
